Love
the picture provided by our beloved AP... No one is saying you aren't human dirtbag,
of course if YOUR country had provided you an education, you might see that your status
as a human is not the issue. What is at issue is the unbelievable pride those fleeing
an oppressive, corrupt and lawless country have for where they came from...

"Immigrants have built this country," we all have heard this shouted at the tops of
lungs by those denouncing our struggle to continue to provide for our own when it
has become nearly impossible as is evident by California et al going broke trying
to support the endless social welfare necessary for an ever increasing entitlement
mentality by an ever increasing population of people who have nothing to offer but
want. YES! Immigrants BUILT this country, the operative word being BUILD!

Polish, German, Italian, Irish, Russian, Japanese, and many many others, all came
here for the promise of opportunity and to produce and build America, NOT simply consume
and be a drain! Notice, not a single classroom in America where we teach our kids
in German or any other previous immigrant language = drain; not a single standard
      government document printed in Italian = drain; no pressing #3 for Polish = drain;
All these past immigrants came to America to become Americans not to be Russians living
in America, or Irish living in America, but AMERICANS.

So, as you who are sympathetic to the current Hispanic immigration might say, America
is prejudice toward Hispanics - total an complete utter bull! America has done nothing
but welcome immigrants from the south, but at some point, even America cannot provide
for a constant flow of want and demand (and blind patriotism for the country they
      fled) across our border.

The MOMENT Mexican - and all other - refugees from Hispanic countries embrace the
country they now call home; learn the language of their benefactors like ALL other
immigrants before them, adopt the culture, and truly become Americans in their hearts,
only then will they understand our anger over the current invasion.

Yes, America is a melting pot! It is NOT a place for foreigners to call home and demand
we accept them as side dishes with separate and accomodating rights.

as tons of legislation has already passed in the state legislature that will
go into effect if these propositions pass. None of this is spelled out in the
text of the propositions. Of course, this is my advice to everyone:><?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />

Force the politicians to FIX the system; don’t let them
RAPE the tax-payers yet again. I am so angered by the fact that our government has
tied it's hands for so many years that the ONLY discretionary funds left are those
for essential services like public safety and education, but that is what you get
when you continue to vote for earmarked bond initiatives. Eventually you have NO MONEY
   for anything else.

   It is time to tell

      <?xml:namespace prefix = u1 />
         <u1:City u2:st="on">
            <u1:place u2:st="on">Sacramento

   >
   >
we will not bail you out any longer. I empathize with the teachers and other public
sector employees that may be destined to lose their jobs, but thousands of private
sector people have lost their jobs already. We all need to share in the pain and stand
in solidarity AGAINST this spend, spend, spend and tax, tax, tax mentality. All these
bail-outs do is encourage politicians to continue with business as usual. We have
the power to make it STOP!

The only viable fix to this is to FORCE government to hold
education and public safety funds sacred over all other earmarked non-essential programs.
That way they can NEVER again use these scare tactics to manipulate the voters into
agreeing to more taxes. The fact is, there ARE alternatives to cutting public safety,
healthcare and education, but the politicians will have you believe there is no other
way, and will put teachers and nurses and firefighters, et al. on the chopping blocks
   to further their agendas.

   Send a harsh word to

      Sacramento

that they cannot hold teachers and public safety hostage!

   So,
I found myself on Amazon.com recently and persuaded by something there to write a
review on a D-Link DIR-655 Wireless Router I had purchased a few months back. I happened
to be very pleased with the product and planned on giving it 5 stars, but I noticed
   – although 4 and 5 stars heavily outweighed the others – quite a few 1 star reviews
so I wanted to see what the others were saying. After reading review after review
by unsatisfied customers complaining about technical support offered by the company,
and a few legitimate beefs with the product, I wrote my review:

<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />

I can't help but laugh every time i read a review of a tech product by someone that
has no business trying to do what they are trying to do. This is, for all intents
and purposes, a router! with all of the big boy features that a router should have,
BUT yes, in a consumer product, and Amazon will and does sell it to anyone with the
cashe to purchase it. Unfortunately there is no aptitude test to keep most of you
from buying it. So, "caveat emptor" but NOT because this is a bad - or even potentially
bad - product, but because it does a lot of stuff that the average joe blow computer
user hasn't a clue how to use or why.

I cannot comment on the dlink customer support, but can only imagine it is probably
as bad as all the complainers have said, maybe worse. again, you are talking about
a piece of technology that companies offer full blown college courses and credentials
to learn how to configure properly, and trying to explain these concepts over the
phone to an obliviate can be somewhat taxing if not impossible. and yes, i can see
where a support person would just eventually get fed up with you.

<?xml:namespace prefix = st1 ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:smarttags" />
in D-Link's defense, they have tried - best they can - to develop a "plug and play"
solution to get this configured for you. but here is the bottom line for those that
have written something like "it works with
   Vista
!" or some other such moronic thing. a router doth not care what operating system
you have, and you doth not need to install ANYTHING on your computer to make this
thing work! it's a router!, it simply routes packets from point a to point b. if your
computer isn't configured properly, you may have problems, but don't blame the router.
it's more than likely doing EXACTLY what you told it to do!

that said - [stepping down off the milk crate] - i bought this router because i was
thoroughly pissed off at linksys/cisco for making a competing product that truly does
NOT work, but that is a different story. once i got this router, i have NEVER had
a bad thing to say about it. i run anywhere from 4 to 7 computers through it, both
wired and wireless, running Vista 32 and 64, XP, Windows 2003 server, Linux, open
BSD and yes, even a flippin' Mac on rare occasions when i really need a hair-cut and
i simply don't have the time, so I figure I’ll just pull my hair out one strand at
a time for a few hours while struggling to find the right mouse button.

Anyway, this thing is rock solid, has great wireless range, and is easy to configure
(when you know what you are doing, or at least have some technical aptitude.) I won’t
say you must be a tech geek, but SOME aptitude will greatly help you during your travels
through wireless security options, port forwarding, and firewall settings. This or
any other product like it, simply isn’t made to be “plug and play” those that have
given this anything less that 4 stars either got a bad one – not out of the realm
of possibility – or simply have no business trying to do this themselves. This is
a prefect opportunity to hire the geek squad if you don’t know what you are doing,
but don’t blame the product if you have trouble. In the immortal words from the movie,
Mr. Mom, “You’re doing it wrong.”

I don’t pretend to understand all the “legal”
issues involved with the “agreements” between the U.S. and the South American countries
where drug production is a major industry. Still, after reading a recent story reporting
that our self-righteous, right-wing, pin-head of a President is “moving to suspend
longtime U.S. trade benefits for Bolivia…,” I can’t help but say “Way to go, Bolivia!”

What I infered from the article is that the U.S. pressures, to the point of coercion,
most South American counties to extend its “War on Drugs” within their borders. What
the article doesn’t mention is how much it actually costs these countries to live
      up to this “agreement.”

The article does state that Bolivia has a whopping $362.6 million in duty free exports
to the U.S. ($66 million of that is oil which should be duty free anyway.) My god,
if Bolivia spends less than that living up to its agreement to “cooperate in drug-fighting
      efforts” I would be surprised.

So kudos to Bolivia for telling the U.S. – "Spending more money, fighting a hopeless
war, than we save in export taxes to your pompous country just isn’t worth it."

Seriously, it's time the U.S. mind its own business. The only way to stop the flow
of drugs into this country is to stop the demand, not the supply. As long as there
is demand, [someone] will be there to supply that demand – A very simple concept the
DEA and our federal government can't seem to grasp. So we [U.S.] will continue this
war on drugs to keep all these DEA people employed rather than reassign them to programs
with goals that might actually be attainable.

No, you’re not hearing things; that is the sound of a toilet flushing…

      Oh, I ganja!

Oh how I love talk of “global warming,” the hot, politically correct, topic of the
year. Hell, possibly even the decade – akin to the recycling craze of the 80’s. The
greatest thing about these types of “issues” is that they really aren’t “political”
at all. EVERY politician is “for stopping global warming” I mean what politician in
their right mind would be against it? Which
is exactly why, so many seemingly intelligent, logic driven politicians have jumped
on the “global warming” band wagon. Proposing
that, against at least equally compelling scientific evidence to the contrary, “we”
   - meaning all of us who are not politicians - have to “do” something - meaning, jump
through a bunch of worthless hoops and busy-tasks in an effort to “do our part” against
“global warming,” all without a single shred of evidence that any of it will do one
bit of good. So we – again, the non-politicians – are led by the nose to the “global
warming” trough and pistol whipped into drinking the kool-aid. Since
our government encroaches into every aspect of our lives, there is almost nothing
we can do about it. So the circle of idiocy is forged, and our leaders who have jumped
aboard and those that believe anything the government tells them now perpetuate the
   idiocy. The “whacko” environmentalists
have finally won! We now have a rallying cry! Stop global warming now!

<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />

It wasn’t enough for the environmentalists to simply use facts, valid logic, and cogent
argument to make their points and push their views on everything from saving trees
to whales to “the environment.” Most of us, who weren’t more worried about where our
next rent payment was coming from, or how we were going to feed our children, were
okay with the idea that cleaner air, soil and water were in our best interest; that
recycling things could actually be more economical that starting from scratch; and
developing alternative energy sources could reduce or eliminate our dependence on
foreign countries controlled by religious zealots.

No, they aren’t going to stop until we were all vegans, who ride our bikes to work,
and wear clothing we can later smoke, and what better way to control the people than
to “invent” a global scale threat to humanity? One
that can’t be proven one way or the other, and therefore the remedies could be almost
anything. And by almost anything, I mean
becoming vegans who ride our bikes to work and smoke our clothing.

I for one don’t buy it! Yes, I fully admit I may turn out to be absolutely wrong.
This “global warming” thing may actually turn out to be humanity’s fault and totally
preventable, but the evidence presented thus far leads me to believe its all hogwash.

Case-in-point: we are told by the “global warming” pundits that our oceans are also
warming as a result, and warmer oceans will lead to longer more devastating weather
seasons; that we will see an exponential rise in the number and severity of hurricanes
and tropical storms world-wide. We are
led to believe that a constant stream of storms will come hurtling at us every summer
and the only way to stop it is to cool the bitch down! Oh my god, the sky is falling,
   the sky is falling!

Okay Chicken Little, explain this. Why is it that in the middle of the historically
heaviest hurricane month, and after a prediction of a heavier than normal hurricane
season, and after stretching to get to nine named storms through mid September, we
haven't even a single area of instability in the tropical Atlantic ocean for going
   on two days now?

Now, I have been an avid hurricane watcher for years. I mostly love reading the discussions
citing numerous conflicting prediction models and wildly exaggerated forecasts of
gloom and doom, but in the end admitting they have no fucking idea where the bitch
is going to hit land, so hey, everyone from Mexico to Haiti to North Carolina get
ready! In all my years of watching the NOAA website during the season, I have NEVER
seen two straight days where there are “No tropical cyclones at this time” not even
a small zone of disturbed weather or even ominous cloud formations! wtfo? You mean,
with all this warm water, mother earth can’t conjure a rain shower worth noting to
appease our “global warming” demands for massive weather extremes, dogs and cats living
   together and mass hysteria?

   Oh, I ganja!

As I have said, what’s done is done, and it’s now time to move on, and without the

NO excuses for their behavior. In fact, I’d have a ton more respect
for Roger Clemens et.al. if they’d just tell the truth! But continuing to live and
act as if the rest of us are just too plain stupid to realize that there is an enormous
amount of cow dung being heaped upon us is not endearing us to your positions.

So instead of owning it, admitting it, coming clean with your mistakes, maybe even
(dare I say) showing some solidarity with your fellow maligned “steroid-era” cohorts,
you all continue to deny what anyone with even a double digit IQ can clearly see.
Nay, you even file defamation lawsuits against those who actually have the balls to
      tell the truth.

I
wonder if anyone advised Roger that a defamation of character lawsuit will most often
be fought in defense by drumming
up even MORE dirt on you to “prove” you cannot be trusted and that you are a lying
piece of shit? Dude! You had a 10 year affair with a smokin’ hot (at the time,) 15
year old aspiring country/western singer? My god, how stupid can you be? Next you’ll
be filing a defamation lawsuit against the New York Daily News (get in line, dude,
the end of the line is somewhere in Connecticut,) and in defense, they’ll probably
find that you had numerous meetings in a New York Central Park public bathroom with
George Michaels. Fuck dude, cut your losses already. Oh, and btw, saying it
wasn't sexual is just another insult to our intelligence. You tapped that! You did.

To Roger and all the others:
I do NOT condemn you for taking steroids, clear, cream, hgh, greenies, or whatever
else you did to gain an advantage in an “era” where practically everyone did, thereby
making it not so much an “advantage”. And seriously, I just don’t care anymore to
know who did and who didn’t. In my mind, you did because you had to, or you thought
you had to just to stay up with everyone else. It will be forever known as the “steroid
era” so if you were one of the VERY FEW who didn’t succumb, great for you! Unfortunately,
history will not record that fact. I DO condemn all of you who get caught, and deny
it! You are still our heroes, steroids or not, and to lie when you are clearly caught
destroys our vision of you more than the fact you did it. We know you did it. We don’t
care anymore. We do care that you man up!

      To the players union:
If you continue to fight the fight, Roger Clemens will NOT be the last big name to
fall from grace. The time has come to truly protect your members from further “defamation”,
that is if you really care. My advice to you is have every single player who played
even one game of baseball between the years of 1990 and 2003 come forward and admit
to being a part of the steroid era. Everyone knew what was going on, and the fans
know it. In one way or another, everyone had a part in it. EVERYONE! It’s called solidarity.
If every member of your union admitted to being a part of the problem, then no one
member can be singled out again. In fact, we may actually find, as is my assertion,
that Major League Baseball itself is mostly to blame for the problem, not the players.
Turn the tables on those that should have done something about it a long time ago!
